House Style Analysis - MOJO
The house style for MOJO seems to be discreet and sophisticated, and would attract those who are serious about their music and favour a vintage vibe. The pages seen space out their information, which would explain partly why there is an increased amount of pages as they can afford to space out their content. Compared to Kerrang!, MOJO takes a more minimalist approach with regards to its house style, with only showing the most important parts which will draw people in (rather than Kerrang! which advertises posters and quizzes in the contents page. The vintage aspect is also hinted by the display of Lou Reed and Paul McCartney, so this would mean its for the music older music enthusiasts rather than Q which features bands like Green Day on the cover. This vintage and minimalist style is maintained throughout the magazine and seems to be what makes MOJO the magazine it is. As can be seen in the first page of the DPS and the contents page, MOJO uses space to convey that you do not need to smother your audience with information and page furniture to still maintain it's quality.
