DPS - Editing Evidence + Design
The pictures I used throughout my double page spreads only needed touching up with regards to the brightness and contrast in order to make them look less dull if their intention is to be eye catching. Below, screenshots can be seen of what the images looked like before and after they were edited to be suitable for my double page spread.

To the left if the image I will use for my second double page spread. This unedited image is too dull and therefore not good enough for my double page spread, which I will rectify by altering the brightness and contrast.

Below is the edited picture, which looks a lot brighter and more eye catching

Then, to alter the colour to make it more bright and blue, I edited the curves in order to do this.

With regards to the page design elements, the main piece of page furniture is seen on the first part of my DPS.

At first the pull quote was just the words written in a line, but that sort of page furniture is just bland and lazy; which is why I decided to add some more colour and text variations to bring more attention to it.

Then I decided to merge all of the blocks together, and then lower the opacity to make the colour change between the picture and the pink less explicit. After this I made the page furniture bigger to make this design element really bring the page to life.

Other design elements used include the use of the logo throughout both double paged spreads and social media buttons. These can be seen below and to left.

Although social media logos aren't featured heavily in music magazines I have researched, I thought as my target audience is mainly young people then I would appeal to them through advertising the idea that you can get exclusives and more information through these outlets.
