I wanted to make sure the clothes of the people in my pictures matched the style of the genre I am revolving my magazine around.

I wanted them to look like rappers, but give them a look that they are new to the scene and up and coming. This is why they are wearing layers, as was discussed in my target audience clothing, as it gives those who pick up the magazine something to relate to.
