Front Page - Drafts and Feedback

This is my first cover draft where I had yet to swap my two smaller images for original images. I asked for feedback from my classmates and I received the following:

After revising this feedback I decided to make changes to my cover with these comments in mind, and here is what I came up with:

I decided to change my colour scheme with the addition of a purple/pink colour in order to make my magazine look interesting rather than dull, to do this I changed the colour of the box behind my main cover line and my date and issue number. I also make my font thinner to give the impression and formality of an actual magazine.

I added a cover line in the top right in order to use my space effectively, I also changed the font of the sentence leading up to my cover line as it was difficult to read before, but now it is in a clear font and bold font.

I rearranged the barcode and the "More Inside" part of the cover to make it more compact and give the impression that it was a page to turn on the edge of the cover. As well as this I added a price below the barcode.

Finally, I changed my images with original images that I took which means my images can be exactly what I want rather than from the internet. Then I altered the size of my issue number and date parts of my cover to keep in form with have magazine covers are presented.

Further feedback:

There was only a small amount of further feedback after this second draft, and this was to edit the image in the top left to make it look more dark and desaturated. I was also given the suggestion to move the price above the barcode to have a more "neat" layout.

After further feedback received, and my own opinions, I made further changes to my front cover. I decided to change the background from black to purple, and then put a black shadow type effect behind the picture. I also added shapes behind each cover line  to make them stand out even more. I also put rectangles behind the bottom line of artists in order to make this presentation style more professional, rather than just words being there.
