DPS - Planning

First DPS: Here are the flat plans I had constructed before I did any editing and construction of what will be my actual double page spreads. I decided to include a pull quote in both parts of my double page spreads to catch the attention of the reader. For the quote on my first DPS I'll add some page furniture, which would be used to make use of the space on the page, but also make my magazine look professional.

Second DPS: I put the actual content of my second DPS into 3 columns as this is what the DPS of Kerrang! did, and I believed it would be a good design element of my magazine. I decided to add a pull quote to this page, which I didn't originally, as I thought it would be a good use of space and a way to make my picture seem a lot less plain. I also thought the album cover would be a good way to not make the change between text and an image so blunt on the pages.

What I need to ensure with both of my double page spreads is that they keep in form with the house style, as that is one of the key things I have discovered from my research.
