Fans of the hip/hop and rap genre tend to dress more informally as they grow up in the inner cities where urban fashion styles, this fashion style is also becoming a lot more popular with those part of the mainstream group. This style was originally adopted by the groups chavers and wastemen, but in recent years has become more stylised and is seen as trendy to younger people.

Accessories related to the rap genre include items of clothes that are coloured gold (for example watches) as well as hats with expletives  and weird yet interesting designs on them that could relate to their favourite sports team for example. Other accessories, as well  as  hats and watches, would include gold necklaces and other sunglasses; although it is difficult to pinpoint a certain style for this genre as it is constantly adapting, and what is trendy changes depending on what popular artists at the time wear.
